How can we apply filter operation in SAPUI5 mobile?

Hi,

     I have developed SAPUI5 mobile application. In that I am using growing list to display material list.But I have 15,000 records.So it takes lot of time to load. I want to give one input box and based on that input I want to show that Particular record. So can we use filter operation here?

Is there any filter API for mobile in SAPUI5?
